This place is so beautiful. The skylights take my breath away, not to mention that there’s a little chicken coop in the back. Have I mentioned how much Lulu Blue and I want to have a chicken? And two fireplaces. Two. The bathrooms are just okay, but here is a little tour of my favorite spots. I love the open, simple feel, the barn doors in the bedroom are so cool. And it’s in the woods, which is okay by me. The town of Felton is adorable, and definitely worth visiting if you are in the area. We had a lovely Halloween. We finished sewing Lulu Blue’s costume just in time for her to head off to a party with her friends, and I spent the day working on my welding skills and resting. Can I just say, I love welding. It’s so cool. Even though I got myself a little welding sunburn on my arms, I can’t wait to keep learning. Lulu Blue dressed up as Melody from Sanrio, and her bestie went as Kuromi, they looked adorable. It was a pretty laid back Halloween this year, and we didn’t even have many tick-or-treaters, so we have a pretty large bowl of leftover candy. Not that either of us are complaining. […]

Last weekend I took a little trip up to Grass Valley/Nevada City to see Devandra Banhart in concert, and it was every bit as wonderful as I had hoped it would be. The concert was incredible, completely worth the drive. I scored a signed copy of the Cripple Crow record! I stayed in a little vintage airstream, which was absolutely lovely. The tiny space was a bit intimidating at first, but I quickly realized just how little space I actually need to be comfortable. Summer is coming to an end, and it’s been yet another interesting one. I’m always excited when summer comes, but it doesn’t take long for me to get sick of the heat and start missing my sweaters, tights and boots. This year is no exception. I am so ready to say goodbye to the heat and feel the cool night breezes and some lovely rain. Of course, we haven’t had rain around here in some time, and the whole California draught thing is really starting to wear on me. I feel completely dried out. I miss seasons!
