Make and try

There are a few things I would love to try, and just haven’t been able to yet. The list is long, but I am not going to add everything all at once. I think what I will do is break it up into yearly lists, and see if I can get at least one or two off each year. Ideally, this should have been started at the New Year, but I didn’t start it then so I am starting now. This Gin Basil Smash Tart. This shouldn’t be too difficult to accomplish! It sounds like it could be really good! Textile printing. I have done screen printing on bags and stuff like that, but I […]

Red

Summer is coming. Our days here in the Bay Area are getting hotter, even the early mornings come with that smell of a warm day. The trees aren’t in bloom anymore, now everything is green. I feel like red is the color for this summer. ♡, Maca

Carrot Ginger Soup

I have been making this carrot ginger soup for a while, and everyone who has tried it loves it. I use vegetable stock, but you can use chicken stock if you want. I find that this recipe is easy to experiment with, so have some fun with spice and garnish and see what you come up with. 8 carrots (here I used baby carrots, but that’s only because I couldn’t find regular carrots at the store. 1 medium onion 1 inch of ginger root 1 orange (for the peel) 3 tablespoons of butter 2 cups of vegetable stock Salt & pepper Slice the carrots. It doesn’t have to be pretty, the soup will be pureed […]

Lucy Boynton

Style Inspiration I cannot get over Lucy Boynton’s style. She gets it right every time! You can definitely take tips from this girl. Here are a few looks that I love. Love, Maca

Catherine Baba

Style Inspiration Catherine Baba definitely earns a place on any list of style icons. She has an interesting and unique style that combines old-school glamour with modern touches. Although I would most likely make some alterations to a lot of these outfits, they are genius and daring. I love it. Here are a few that I think turn heads for all the right reasons. And honestly, she makes me miss my bicycle. ♡, Maca

Drinks At Home

Is it just me, or is there more day drinking happening? There certainly is at my house. If we are not careful, there’s going to be a lot of people coming out of this quarantine with a drinking problem! I’m just kidding (hopefully). I am actually enjoying all the creativity that is coming out of this as people are forced to cook at home, and make do without eating out. And since there is a bit more drinking at home happening than usual, here are a few cocktail recipes that you can try at home. HUGO This is a drink that I first tried at Heaven 23 in Gothenburg, Sweden. I was immediately in love. […]
